Jermain Defoe ruled out for Tottenham with hamstring injury

The Tottenham striker is enjoying his best season with 23 goals but Harry Redknapp, the Spurs manager, revealed that his out of tomorrow's trip to Stoke and will miss next week's FA Cup sixth round replay against Fulham. [LNB]Defoe would also miss the FA Cup semi-final, against Portsmouth, if Spurs win and while Redknapp insisted the striker's injury in not too serious it is another worry for Fabio Capello less than a week after he lost David Beckham. [LNB]'Defoe has just torn a hamstring, in training yesterday,' revealed Redknapp. 'I'm not sure how long it will be. [LNB]'It's a grade two tear, so it will be a few weeks so he's struggling. He'll be abck but it will be a few weeks before he's fit.' [LNB]Redknapp also revealed that Kyle Walker fractured his wrist in a practice game while youngster Danny Rose has damaged knee ligaments. [LNB]'David Bentley went down with a bit of a virus this morning and Tom (Huddlestone) is not fit. [LNB]'Aaron Lennon is raring to go and wants to get out and give it a go again, but he's not ready yet. He's desperate to play and we're desperate to get him back but he's still way off yet. We've run in to a bad run of injuries.' [LNB]Redknapp is also without Jermaine Jenas, Ledley King and Tom Huddlestone, and he added: 'We're okay in attack, I've got Peter Crouch and Eidur Gudjohnsen who can come in. It's other areas in which we're short.' [LNB]
