Defoe, Tottenham's leading scorer, injured his hamstring in the 3-1 win over Blackburn on March 13.[LNB]But he returned to training this week and Harry Redknapp confirmed that the England striker should be available for the difficult trip to Sunderland.[LNB]Spurs had expected Defoe to be out for at least three weeks but he has recovered sooner. Redknapp said: "It's great news and I'm really pleased. He's a terrific little striker and a fighter. It's great to have him back so soon."[LNB]Spurs, though, are waiting on defenders Vedran Corluka and Michael Dawson ahead of the trip to the Stadium of Light.[LNB]Corluka injured his ankle in the 3-1 FA Cup win over Fulham while Dawson, the captain, had an ultrasound scan on a hamstring on Monday and is hoping of being fit.[LNB]Dawson could help Spurs aim for a club record victory when they arrive at the Stadium of Light.[LNB]Having won their last five Premier League games, a sixth straight victory would represent the club's best sequence in the competition - and the first time they have won six in succession since the 1989-90 campaign.[LNB]
