Ready for action: Jermain Defoe is fit again[LNB]Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe has declared himself available for selection for the Barclays Premier League trip to Sunderland after a swift recovery from a hamstring injury.[LNB]The 27-year-old suffered the problem in training just over a fortnight ago and has been sleeping in an altitude chamber to speed up his comeback.[LNB]Spurs boss Harry Redknapp said: 'He's fit and available but I don't have to take a chance because I also have Peter Crouch, Eidur Gudjohnsen and Roman Pavlyuchenko.'[LNB]The player himself, who is Spurs' top scorer this term with 23 goals, last appeared for the north Londoners on March 13th, scoring in a 3-1 win. [LNB]In his Mirror newspaper column, Defoe said: 'I'm fit and ready to go after my own hamstring injury. I trained the other day and I feel as strong as ever.[LNB]'I think the altitude tank I have been sleeping in has helped me and I can't wait to get involved with the team again. [LNB]'Eidur Gudjohnsen, Peter Crouch and Roman Pavlyuchenko have all been fantastic and we're all ready to give the manager a headache.[LNB]'He picks the team and you have to respect that. But I also know that I am ready to come back into the team and score goals. [LNB]'For me it may just be a case of waiting until I get my chance again, then making sure I get the goals to keep my  place. But all the boys feel the same way which is good news for the team.'[LNB] Jermain Defoe insists Harry Redknapp has belief in his Spurs squad - unlike Martin JolHarry Redknapp: Bale is a Tottenham star now that we ignore him...Competition: Win Tottenham or Aston Villa FA Cup semi-final ticketsTottenham boon as Lennon looks to step up injury recovery in trainingDefoe or Bent?
