Jenas targets Champions League after Tottenham miss out on Europe

Jermaine Jenas believes Tottenham can use their faiulure to qualify for the Europa League as a springboard to win a place in the Champions League next year.   Fulham pipped Spurs to the last European spot but Jenas insists being able to concentrate on domestic football in the 2009/10 campaign can be a positive.   The UEFA Cup proved to be a distraction for Spurs as they battled against relegation and reached the Carling Cup final and Jenas said: 'The Champions League is where players want to be. I don't want to take anything away from the UEFA Cup or Europa League - we'd love to win it - but it means a lot of games to win the competition and that can affect your season. 'You saw a turn in us when we dropped out of the UEFA Cup this year. Then we really started to knuckle down in the Premier League. 'I hope there will be some positives to come from us missing out on the competition. 'The teams involved in Europe next season are the teams we need to overhaul in the league. We'll have the added time to prepare and rest as well which always helps.'
