Jenas sets clean sheets target

Jermaine Jenas believes Tottenham need to start winning games 1-0 if they are to put up a serious challenge for honours this season. The past week has seen Spurs boss Harry Redknapp repeatedly declare there is no reason why his side cannot become Barclays Premier League champions come May. The biggest obstacle to that happening is the north Londoners' current inability to keep a clean sheet, with Tottenham conceding in each of their last 17 games. Indeed, they have completed only two shutouts this season and midfielder Jenas knows the team cannot go on scoring two and three goals a game indefinitely. "It's something we need to rectify, and soon," he said ahead of the Champions League clash with Werder Bremen. "It's great winning games 4-3 and so on but there's going to come a point where you need to win 1-0. "All the top teams do it and it's an area we need to improve on if we are going to do anything special this year."
