Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas has admitted that he was in the dark as to where his future lay during the winter transfer window.[LNB] Jenas was linked with a move to Inter Milan in January as part of a possible swap deal involving striker Adriano or midfielder Ricardo Quaresma, who eventually joined Chelsea.[LNB]In the end the speculated switch to Serie A failed to materialise and the England international is now keen to focus on his White Hart Lane career.[LNB]Jenas has slipped down the pecking order following the arrival of Harry Redknapp and has further competition for a starting berth after the January signing of Wilson Palacios from Wigan.[LNB]The former Newcastle player was handed the captain's armband in a much-changed XI for the 2-0 Uefa Cup defeat by Shakhtar Donetsk on Thursday and is hoping for more regular action.[LNB]ConfidenceHe told the London Evening Standard: "I was very flattered when I heard about Inter Milan. If a club like Inter take an interest in you, you will always take notice. It is good for confidence. [LNB]"I will be honest: I did not know where I was at one point during the transfer window. But I spoke to the manager, who said he wanted me to stay, and that is where we are at the moment. [LNB]"The manager knows what I am capable of, and it was good to be back in the team against Shakhtar. [LNB]"I was also happy to be back in the side for the 0-0 draw against Arsenal, and hopefully there are more games to come."[LNB]
