ShareJamie O'Hara is edging closer to completing a permanent switch to Wolves from Tottenham after the two clubs agreed a fee for the midfielder.

The deal is believed to be worth ?5million with O'Hara, who has agreed personal terms, poised to pen a deal to keep him at Molineux for four years.

O'Hara had become frustrated with life at Tottenham after dropping down the midfield pecking order and impressed at Wolves, playing just behind the central striker, scoring three goals in his 13 appearances.

Molineux man: O'Hara's switch to Wolves looks imminent

He was relegated when on loan to Portsmouth for the 2009-2010 season but helped Wolves stay in the Barclays Premier League on the final day of the last campaign with his goal against Blackburn.

O'Hara confirmed at the end of the season that 'I want to stay at Wolves' as it was a club 'which is going forward'.

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy echoed those sentiments and said: 'We've got a deal to do and I want to keep Jamie.

'He wants to stay and I think we will be doing it (the deal).'

'I think Jamie has shown his quality since he has been here. I thought he was outstanding on Sunday. He's what I call a real Premier League player and that's what we will be trying to recruit again this summer.'
