'I was missing chance after chance' says Bent of fallow patch at Spurs

Darren Bent has admitted he suffered from a poor run of form this season.[LNB]Despite Tottenham[LNB]'s Premier League struggles, the £16million striker enjoyed a fine start to the campaign, scoring 11 goals in his first 16 appearances.[LNB] Out of sorts: Bent admits to a crisis of confidence this season[LNB]But a barren run followed that saw him find the net just once in 14 games and culminated with a high profile miss against Portsmouth[LNB]that manager Harry Redknapp claimed his wife could have scored.[LNB]Although Bent scored twice in Tottenham's 3-2 defeat at Bolton[LNB]on Saturday, he has admitted his form has suffered recently.[LNB]'I had a dip of form before the Bolton game but I'm back now. It came from nowhere and that can happen,' he told the club's official website.[LNB]'At times you feel like everything you hit will go in and it was the same in training before that, everything was going in but in the last few weeks it changed and it felt like I was missing chance after chance.[LNB]'Sometimes it happens but I'm a confident guy and I'll stay positive. I know if I get into the positions I'll score the goals.'[LNB]Bent's future will be under the spotlight in the coming months following the return to Tottenham of White Hart Lane crowd favourites Jermain Defoe and Robbie Keane.
