Hutton reveals injury hell
Alan Hutton has admitted that this season has been an 'absolute nightmare' for him after struggling to sustain any sort of fitness.[LNB] The 24-year-old made an immediate impression for Tottenham when he signed from Rangers for £9million in January 2008 but after looking to build on an impressive first six months at the club in the summer he has seen injuries halt his progress.[LNB]The Scotland international has returned to training after a reccurrence of a foot injury which has kept him sidelined since November.[LNB]The full-back played 70 minutes in Spurs' reserve-team clash with West Brom on Monday night and he now has his sights on Scotland's upcoming World Cup qualifying matches as he bids to put his injury nightmare behind him.[LNB]"This season has been an absolute nightmare for me," he told Sky Sports News.[LNB]Tough"Obviously I was looking forward to the beginning of the season then to miss so much then come back and (for the injury) to reoccur and to feel it when I came back.[LNB]"So it's been a tough long season for me but I'm just glad to be back now and hopefully I can push on and do well."[LNB]Hutton insists that he could have played for longer against the Baggies' second string but is determined to play his part in helping his country qualify for South Africa 2010.[LNB]"I think my fitness was decent in the 70 minutes I've played and I think I could have played for longer," he added.[LNB]"That's everyone's dream as a boy growing up you want to play in a World Cup and I am no different. I want to get there."[LNB]
