Huddlestone comes through friendly run-out

Tom Huddlestone has handed Harry Redknapp a boost by turning out in a Tottenham shirt for the first time in over four months. The midfielder underwent surgery on his ankle injury in November after picking up the problem in the club's 1-1 draw with Sunderland. He had been scheduled to return to action in January, but a setback in training kept him on the sidelines until he returned to action in a 2-1 win for a Spurs XI over Barnet at the club's training ground in Chigwell, Essex. The England midfielder came through 80 minutes of the match and now hopes to play some part in Tuesday's Champions League clash against Real Madrid, or even Saturday's league match at Wigan. "Good run out today, Spurs XI against a Barnet XI," Huddlestone wrote on his Twitter page. "Was nice to be out there again, all went well and fingers crossed there's no reaction."
