HATCHET MAN: Full English or else for lazy Pavlyuchenko if he is to stay at Spurs

Roman Pavlyuchenko may have been signed for Tottenham when Juande Ramos was in charge but he doesn't have to follow his lazy example. The Spaniard didn't seem keen to learn English when he was manager at White Hart Lane and look what happened to him. The striker, according to Harry Redknapp, is no more enthusiastic and, like his play occasionally, it just makes it look like he doesn't care and will not be here for long. Pavlyuchenko may not be the brightest player around but even he should have   worked out that his new manager doesn't suffer foreign fools for long. Redknapp's training ground translator story (joking the interpreter gets on the end of through balls) is typical Harry, but his amusing lampooning of the Russian's language skills undoubtedly contains a serious message. Fraizer Campbell already knows Spurs is not the place for him next season and   Darren Bent must have got the hint too as the manager reshapes his strikeforce, but Pavlyuchenko will need it spelled out for him if he doesn't show he wants to play for the club long-term.
