Portsmouth boss Paul Hart was left to rue Aruna Dindane's open-goal miss in the first half of the 2-1 defeat by Tottenham. Tommy Smith's precise cross cut through the Spurs defence and goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes, but Dindane hacked over from inside the six-yard box. "Strikers don't miss goals on purpose," said Hart. "Some of the football to get in that position was excellent. Next week he'll get in those positions and stick away four of them." Ledley King and Jermain Defoe were on target for Spurs while Kevin-Prince Boateng pulled one back for Pompey. Defoe and Michael Brown were also sent off.
