Harry: Spurs heroes can win World Cup

Harry Redknapp reckons Tottenham's heroes can clinch World Cup glory this summer for England after booking their place in the Champions League.[LNB] Spurs guaranteed themselves at least a fourth-placed finish in the Premier League as Wednesday's 1-0 win at Manchester City also secured a spot in the qualifying rounds of next season's European Cup.[LNB]Six Englishmen started the victory at Eastlands, with winger David Bentley coming off the bench and midfielder Jermaine Jenas remaining as an unused substitute.[LNB]Redknapp now thinks eight of his stars should be in the England manager Fabio Capello's preliminary 30-man World Cup squad and that they can help the Three Lions go on to glory at the tournament. [LNB]"I honestly think Ledley King, Michael Dawson, Tom Huddlestone, Aaron Lennon, Peter Crouch, Jermain Defoe, David Bentley and Jermaine Jenas will be in Capello's first squad of 30," said the Spurs boss in The Sun.[LNB]"I'd love 2010 to go down as the year Tottenham won the World Cup with the amount of players they could supply for Fabio Capello's crack at the big one.[LNB]"I started with six England players when Tottenham clinched fourth place at Manchester City.[LNB]"I then brought on Bentley and I still had Jenas sitting on the bench, who has already played 21 times for his country.[LNB]"That would be by a long way the most players any single club will provide for Capello's search for the ultimate international honour."
