Harry rues missed opportunity

Harry Redknapp felt his Tottenham side were deserving of all three points in Sunday's North London derby.[LNB] Spurs were held to a goalless draw by their arch-rivals Arsenal, in a keenly-fought contest at White Hart Lane.[LNB]Both sides had opportunities to take the spoils but neither was able to force a breakthrough.[LNB]Arsenal's cause was hindered once they had Emmanuel Eboue dismissed on 37 minutes, with Redknapp admitting his disappointment at seeing his players fail to go on and capitalise on their numerical advantage.[LNB]"Eleven against eleven I thought we were the better team and then they have Eboue sent off. Obviously then, at half-time, you expect to go on and win the game," he told Sky Sports.[LNB]"I certainly felt there was three points there for us today. But they're a terrific team, well organised and they made it difficult. [LNB]"We had a few opportunities, Robbie's (Keane) header and a great chance at the end from Luka Modric, but they started to get dangerous in the last 10-15 minutes. They hit us on the break because we were pushing forward all the time and they started to look dangerous on the counter. [LNB]Good display"They had something to hang onto when they went down to 10 men and they were difficult to break down.[LNB]"It gives you a big opportunity when you have the extra man but I still knew it was going to be difficult to break them down. They are not easy to break down. [LNB]"We did have the opportunities but we just couldn't take them. I am pleased with the performance, though, and I thought the players that came in did well. So all round it was a good display."[LNB]With a number of their fellow strugglers slipping to defeat on Saturday, Redknapp admits Spurs must see the result as a point gained, but the experienced coach knows a glorious opportunity has passed his team by. [LNB]"We have made a point, but it was a great opportunity today for three," he said.[LNB]"But there were a lot of pluses today. We have only lost one home game since I came here, and we have played an awful lot of home games including the cup, so our home form has been fantastic. [LNB]"Now we need to start going away and start picking up some results and be a little bit stronger. If we can do that then I think we will be okay."[LNB]
