Harry Redknapp wants one more major Tottenham signing

Spurs beat Stoke 3-1, brushing aside Tony Pulis's team with three goals in the opening 24 minutes, from Aaron Lennon, Jermain Defoe and Michael Dawson. [LNB]Redknapp has spent nearly £33 million, bringing in four players – Jermain Defoe, Wilson Palacios, Carlo Cudicini and Pascal Chimbonda – and wants to add one more. [LNB]'If I could find one very good player I will sign one, probably a forward,' said Redknapp, who will decide today whether to move for 28-year-old former Juventus midfielder Stephen Appiah and Lyon striker Fred. [LNB]'Appiah will play in a reserve game against Reading today and I will watch him play and make a decision,' said Redknapp. [LNB]'He's been a fantastic player, I watched him and followed his career at Juventus and tried to sign him three or four times, I saw him play for Ghana on six or seven occasions, and I ended up signing Sulley Muntari (for Portsmouth). [LNB]'He's a top, top player, it's just that he has had an injury and his fitness is way before what you would hope for but he's worked hard, so I'll give him a decision today because he's been with us about a month now and he needs to know. [LNB]'Fred was supposed to come yesterday and didn't turn up so I wouldn't bet on him coming today. I will be watching the reserves anyway. The chairman is talking with his club. [LNB]'He is out of contract in the summer, so Lyon are asking for a small fee for him.' [LNB]Redknapp remains linked with signing Robbie Keane back, from Liverpool, but he added: 'I wouldn't have thought we will be able to get Keane. He's a Liverpool player and I don't like talking about other club's players.' [LNB]Redknapp now turns his attentions to a difficult away game, at Bolton, and he warned: 'It's no good us get carried away now then going to Bolton on Saturday and being fragile and not strong enough.' [LNB]Wilson Palacios, signed from Wigan but suspended against Stoke, will make his debut – and that will give Redknapp a selection headache. [LNB]'I need to get Palacios in my team because he's everything I've been wanting in a midfield player so I've got to shape the team up where I get those people in my team. [LNB]'I'll have to adjust the formation to get them in the side because he's a central midfield player and I need (Didier) Zokora as well. He did a good job against Stoke defensively, he let Luka go and play, and I've got (Jermaine) Jenas coming back so I'm strong in midfield and I've got good options. [LNB]'Aaron Lennon played with a groin injury, he might have a little tear in there or a strain, so he could be struggling a little bit, and I've got to pick a team that can compete at Bolton because when you go there if you don't compete you get nothing.'
