Harry Redknapp left hospital on Thursday afternoon after recovering from the heart surgery.[LNB]The Tottenham manager, 64, had a successful operation to unblock coronary arteries and is keen for it to be known that it is a straightforward procedure. [LNB]Redknapp is eager to be back at work for Sunday when in-form Spurs play at Fulham, but a more realistic ambition is forhim to be in the stand.[LNB]The 'minor' operation follows a round of golf with his son, Jamie, who noted his dad was 'breathless'.[LNB] On the mend: Harry Redknapp hopes to be back in charge for the Fulham game[LNB] [LNB]Jamie has spent the last two days alongside his father as Tottenham flew out for a Europa League match here against Russia's Rubin Kazan without their manager.[LNB]Assistant manager Kevin Bond took on Redknapp's media duties on Wednesday and he will be joined by Joe Jordan in managing the team tonight.[LNB]Sportsmail columnist Jamie revealed: 'Dad has undergone an operation and is in good spirits. He doesn't want people worrying about him. He wants to get back to work quickly, but will wait for advice from the doctor. [LNB]'My dad was breathing heavily when we played golf and I told him to get it checked out. The doctor said he should have an operation and that is what has happened.[LNB] Concern: Son and Sportsmail columnist Jamie noticed his dad's breathlessness while playing golf [LNB]'My dad is really happy with the way Spurs are playing at the moment, they are in good form and climbing the table. He wants to get back in the thick of it, but knows he has good people around him such as Kevin Bond and Joe Jordan. [LNB]'Everyone at the club has been very supportive. Another win will put him in even better spirits.'[LNB]Redknapp will be discharged from hospital a day earlier than expected, and Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy said: 'We are delighted the operation went so smoothly and successfully. Knowing Harry he will want to rush back, but it's important that he only does so when he has recovered properly.' [LNB]That view was echoed by Bond, as the team arrived in chilly Kazan after a 2,000-mile trip. [LNB]A win will see them qualify for the knockout stages of a competition which will again be used to give fringe players a run-out. Luka Modric, Gareth Bale, Aaron Lennon, Emmanuel Adebayor and Rafael van der Vaart stayed in London but  Steven Pienaar and William Gallas are set for seasonal debuts. [LNB] Set to play: Both William Gallas and Steven Pienaar are set to make their first starts of the season [LNB]'I've spoken to Jamie and he says Harry is absolutely fine,' said Bond. 'He'll take advice from the doctors. If they say to him, 'You've got nothing to worry about, you're going to be 100 per cent', then he'll do what he thinks he ought to do.[LNB]  'If they say, 'Recover for a few days', then he'll listen to them. Whilst he loves what he does, he's not stupid. He doesn't want to jeopardise his full recovery.' [LNB]However, Redknapp will be involved in some capacity on Thursday, as Bond pointed out. 'He will be watching it on the telly so he will probably ring me halfway through the first half,' he joked.[LNB] 'I'll have to turn my phone off! Harry pretty much knows what he wants team-wise and there are not really too many decisions to be made.'[LNB]One of those decisions is to give Pienaar, 29, his first game of the season after a groin injury. The midfielder looked a shrewd signing when he arrived at Spurs in January from Everton for ?3million, but injuries mean he has played just 11 times.[LNB] Switching off: Kevin Bond will take the team and says he will turn off his mobile phone to stop Redknapp calling him[LNB]'It's been the most difficult period of my career,' he said. 'When you join a team, you want to start fully fit but I got injured quite early and it slowed down my progress. I've had the operation, been working hard and now I'll try to win a place in the team.' [LNB]Tottenham will be the first English side to play at the  Centralni Stadium, which is as close to Baghdad and Kabul as it is London. Kazan may be only sixth in the Russian Premier League but they have lost just one of their last 14 European home matches.[LNB]'It will be a stiff test for us and a fantastic game for a couple  who need a game,' added Bond. 'One or two of the young players will relish it.'[LNB] Absent Spurs stars Adebayor, Parker and Bale are not missing much in KazanBlackburn slap ?18m price-tag on Tottenham and Newcastle target Hoilett Pienaar sets Tottenham target after ending his injury nightmare All the latest Tottenham news, features and opinion[LNB]
