Redknapp celebrates his first anniversary at White Hart Lane on Sunday having turned a team that was bottom a year ago into one currently third in the Premier League. “Things have gone very well, we’ve had a good year,” said Redknapp. “We’ve played good football and got some good results, which is what I was paid to do. There’s no reason why we can’t carry it on; there’s all the ingredients to do well. “I always looked at Tottenham, as an outsider, as a club that should be up there. They’ve had great teams over the year with a great history. We’ve got 19 points from nine, if we can take 19 for the next nine I’ll be very pleased. “We attack, we look to win, I play with wingers, we’re very attack minded. But we haven’t achieved anything yet.” Tottenham face Stoke tomorrow but are without the suspended Jermain Defoe, sent off at Portsmouth last weekend. But Jonathan Woodgate could be available to return to defence. “Stoke are strong, they are a good side, Tony’s done a great job for them. I can see them finish in the top half having established themselves as a Premier League club, with a fanatical support.” Redknapp, meanwhile, insisted he knew nothing of reports suggesting Ledley King will be offered a pay-as-you play contract when his contract expires in the summer. “I don’t know anything about that,” added Redknapp. “I’d love to keep Ledley here for sure, he’s a big [art of this football club, I think he’s a special player and a special guy. He’s come through this football club and you need to keep players like that at the club."
