Harry keen to tie down Modric
Harry Redknapp believes it would be a good move for Tottenham to offer Luka Modric a new deal.
The Croatia midfielder arrived at White Hart Lane from Dinamo Zagreb last summer and is already on a long-term contract.
He is tied to the club until 2013 but there has been speculation of a possible move away from London, with Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson an admirer of the 23-year-old.
Redknapp has already rubbished the rumours about Modric, while the player has also expressed his happiness with life at Spurs.
Modric has hinted he would be willing to sign fresh terms and Redknapp admits he would be delighted if an extension could be agreed.
"If I was the chairman I would certainly be looking to tie him up as soon as we can because he is an amazing footballer," said Redknapp.
