Harry Kane was once again the centre of attention as he claimed bragging rights over fellow striker Romelu Lukaku at White Hart Lane.
The Tottenham man scored twice to take his tally to eight goals in his last four games, while Lukaku scored his sixth in the same period.

Work rate
Kane was as industrious as ever leading the line for the home side. Defenders never get a moment of peace with the England man up front, whereas his rival has often been criticised for a perceived lack of intensity. Everton's main man drifted wide and dropped deep in an attempt to involve himself, but was unable to make an impact until his persistence forced a mistake from the Spurs defence.
Link up
The Spurs man was always a target for his defence, providing a reliable link to his supporting midfielders. He successfully peeled away from his marker to take down a long ball before some nice interplay with Christian Eriksen led to a good save from Joel Robles. Lukaku showed nice touches with Ross Barkley and Tom Davies, but the trio were unable to work their magic in dangerous enough areas to cause Tottenham enough problems.
Goals
Kane opened the scoring with a spectacular long-distance effort. He had been on the fringes of the game, but created a goal out of nothing with a smart turn and fine effort from 30 yards which flew past Robles. He added a 14th of 2017 in the second half with another smart finish under the body of the keeper and could have had more. Lukaku had a difficult afternoon but proved his quality after bullying Jan Vertonghen and finishing clinically into the bottom corner on his weaker right foot.
Impact
The two men showed exactly why they are two of the Premier League's hottest properties at the moment. Kane, as he so often is, was talismanic up front for Tottenham and could have had more than his two goals. His all-round game was exemplary, with the only minor criticism that he didn't finish the game off earlier. Lukaku on the other hand was denied service all afternoon, but still had the ability to make an impact with the game seemingly over.
