Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp believes two world-class new signings would make his team genuine contenders for the Premier League title.[LNB] The 63-year-old, who took over at White Hart Lane two years ago with Spurs bottom of the table on two points from eight games, last term led his side to a fourth-place finish and a Champions League spot.[LNB]And he thinks a couple more high-quality additions would help the north London club take the next step.[LNB]Quoted in several newspapers, he said: "I think Tottenham may be one or two big signings away from being a team that could win the championship.[LNB]"One or two players in the right positions - and I'm talking about two top, top players in the right positions.[LNB]"If we could go and do that I think Tottenham are a team that could win the championship in a couple of years.[LNB]"This squad is just so full of talent anyway, players who have made their mark and (chairman) Daniel Levy has done a great job backing my judgment and improving the squad and the club, that I really believe we're not far away from that level."[LNB]He added: "We've got a lot of players here who could play for any club," he added.[LNB]"There are an awful lot of them who could. You've seen their performances. That includes the left-back (Benoit Assou-Ekotto) who you don't hear much about but has everything to be as good a left-back as there is around.[LNB]"He's a fantastic player, Benoit. When he's on it, he's an unbelievable talent."
