Harry hopeful on King

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is hopeful Ledley King will be fit to face Manchester United in the Carling Cup final.[LNB] Spurs' long-serving defender has sat out the club's last five matches after suffering a hamstring strain against Portsmouth.[LNB]Redknapp is not looking to rush King back into action anytime soon though, in a bid to ensure he is fit for the final against United a week on Sunday.[LNB]"I'm hopeful he'll be okay," he told Sky Sports News. "It's sort of day-to-day. He's had a hamstring (injury).[LNB]Recovery"He's got that knee problem, but he's a fantastic player when he's fit. We're just hoping that he continues his recovery.[LNB]"We'll monitor ahead of the weekend and we'll see how he looks next week."[LNB]Redknapp added Chelsea keeper Carlo Cudicini to his ranks during the transfer window and is pleased he now has two shot-stoppers at his fingertips.[LNB]The former Pompey boss has confirmed Heurelho Gomez will be in goal against Sir Alex Ferguson's troops at Wembley as Cudicini is cup-tied.[LNB]Top-class keepers"They are both top class keepers. It's competition between the pair of them," he continued. [LNB]"Gomez will obviously play in the Carling Cup final. It's nice to have two top goalkeepers. They are both terrific.[LNB]"That's what it's about. It's about competition. No one should have a divine right to be a number one.[LNB]"It's about performing and keeping your place and having someone pushing you for your place at all times.[LNB]"That's why Manchester United are the top team. They have competition in every position."[LNB]
