Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has expressed his delight at Heurelho Gomes[LNB]' form between the sticks following his first-team recall.Gomes was expected to shine following his arrival from PSV last summer, but his struggles epitomised the club's woeful start to the season that culminated in Juande Ramos' exit from White Hart Lane.Redknapp beefed up his goalkeeping options in the winter transfer window with the arrival of experienced Italian Carlo Cudicini[LNB]from Chelsea[LNB].But Gomes has retained his place following the Carling Cup final and at the weekend he was outstanding in keeping title-chasing Chelsea at bay."I'd be a liar if I told you I expected him to be performing like that when I first arrived here," said Redknapp. "I was worried about him. Yet everywhere I went in Europe people were telling me how good he was."I was still at Portsmouth[LNB]when Tottenham signed him and Tony Adams, who'd done some coaching in Holland, said they'd signed one of the best goalies in the world."He didn't look like that when I arrived, but now he's playing terrifically well."[LNB]
