Harry demands Spurs ambition

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp wants the club to show the ambition required to keep their best players happy.[LNB] Redknapp is facing a battle to keep Croatian playmaker Luka Modric at White Hart Lane after he expressed his desire to leave the club in order to play Champions League football.[LNB]Chelsea have had two offers of £22million and £27million rejected for the 25-year-old, who has also had a written transfer request turned down by the club.[LNB]Redknapp though is determined to show the required ambition to keep his top players and believes selling Modric or any other star would send out the wrong message.[LNB]"He [Modric] has a fantastic contract he but maybe he sees the chance to win the Premier League and play in the Champions League," Redknapp told Sky Sports News."He sees it as a big opportunity for him but we want to keep him as well, he is a top player for us.[LNB]"We have to show the ambition to keep these players, your Lukas, your Rafas, your Gareth Bales.[LNB]"If he [Modric] goes, he weakens us and if you start to letting your best players go who knows where we will finish up."
