Harry - Best display of season

Harry Redknapp claimed Tottenham's 3-0 win over fellow top-four challengers Manchester City on Wednesday night was their best performance of the season.

Two goals from Niko Kranjcar and a 14th of the season by England striker Jermain Defoe maintained Spurs' pursuit of a Champions League place.

The north London club are currently fifth in the table and are just two points off the third spot occupied by rivals Arsenal.

'That's the best we've played this season. Against Liverpool in the first game of the season we were a bit like that,' said Redknapp.

'We came at them and never let off. All the chances were created by us and it was a great performance.'

Meanwhile, Redknapp has again talked up his side's top-four chances, adding: 'Anything is possible this year. I think the champions will come from Chelsea and Manchester United, but after that it's up for grabs. It's going to be tight.

'Consistency will be the key for us. People over-react to one result, saying: 'Same old Tottenham, you're going to fall on your face again'.

'We've been playing well enough but we just had one bad result against Wolves on Saturday.'
