Tottenham goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes is delighted to be showing what he considers his true form.[LNB] The Brazilian had endured a mixed debut campaign with Spurs following his arrival from PSV Eindhoven last summer.[LNB]After a decent start he produced a number of erratic displays and that led to new manager Harry Redknapp signing Carlo Cudicini from Chelsea.[LNB]Due to Cudicini being cup-tied, Gomes was recalled for the recent Carling Cup final defeat to Manchester United.[LNB]But he performed well at Wembley and has not lost his place since, and on Saturday he turned in a brilliant performance to keep Chelsea at bay, including a world-class stop to deny John Terry late on.[LNB]"Making saves like this is why I play football, and I want to be a goalkeeper who wins games for the team," Gomes told the club's official website. [LNB]"I feel like I am playing better than I did before."[LNB]Defensive praiseGomes paid tribute to the likes of Ledley King and Jonathan Woodgate in front of him.[LNB]"When you have players like Ledley and Woody in front of you, it gives everyone confidence," he continued.[LNB]"Everyone is very happy with the way things are going at the moment, and a result like this against a team like Chelsea can only do us good."[LNB]Spurs are now on a six-match unbeaten run in the league and Gomes admits they should have shown that form earlier in the year.[LNB]"If we played like we're playing now at the start of the season, who knows what sort of position we might be in now," he said.[LNB]"But there's no point in looking back on what might have been, because now we have got ourselves in a good position."[LNB]
