Gomes claims top spot

Tottenham's Heurelho Gomes believes he is still the first-choice goalkeeper at White Hart Lane.[LNB] Gomes has spent the last three weeks on the sidelines with a thigh strain, while former Chelsea keeper Carlo Cudicini has taken over between the posts.[LNB]Cudicini is expected to face derby rivals Arsenal on Sunday but Gomes expects a recall when he is fit.[LNB]He said: "Everybody spoke to me about the signing of Carlo Cudicini but Tony Parks, the goalkeeping coach, said to me: 'You are still the No.1 of Tottenham Hotspur'.[LNB]"He (Cudicini) is a good goalkeeper, but did not play so much for Chelsea. This week I've seen him for the first time and I think it's a good signing for us," Gomes told the Evening Standard.[LNB]
