Fulham 1 Tottenham 2: Hughes fury as Huddlestone controversially ends unbeaten run
Tottenham head to Milan with the confidence of a win behind them but they needed to come from behind yet again - and also required the open-mindedness of a referee. [LNB]Roman Pavlyuchenko had scored to wipeout Diomansy Kamara's opener for Fulham before Tom Huddlestone drove home what proved to be the winning Spurs goal. [LNB]At first disallowing it for William Gallas being offside, referee Mike Dean changed his mind after consulting an assistant. [LNB]Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp sentout a strong, attacking side despite Wednesday's trip to Italy for the attractive Champions League match against Internazionale. [LNB]Determined to make an impact - and succeeding - with suspension keeping him out in midweek, Rafael van der Vaart was again tucked in just behind lead striker Pavlyuchenko. Redknapp reorganised and off went holding player Sandro to be replaced by Aaron Lennon, giving more width and balance. [LNB]Again you expected Spurs to push on, the more so when Murphy hobbled off. But dogged Fulham responded with a Chris Baird header which Gomes tipped over following a corner.[LNB] Then came the drama. Bale's corner reached Huddlestone and his drilled shot from 25 yards flashed into the corner of the Fulham net past Schwarzer's outstretched right hand.
