Southend continued their decent pre-season form with a 1-0 win over Chelmsford City on Saturday. Veteran striker Dougie Freedman scored the game's only goal midway through the first-half to secure the Blues' fourth consecutive friendly victory. Steve Tilson picked a strong line-up that once again included Spanish trialist Martin Camano, who also played 90 minutes in United`s last outing against Canvey Island.
