DARREN BENT has attacked Tottenham managers Harry Redknapp and his predecessor Juande Ramos for making his stay at White Hart Lane the worst time of his career.[LNB]The former Charlton striker sealed a £10m switch to Sunderland on Wednesday evening, after a fortnight of tense negotiations between the two clubs.[LNB]At one point, the transfer looked to be on the verge of collapsing, with Tottenham reportedly demanding the £16.5m they paid to secure Bent?s services in 2007.[LNB]Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, however, was forced to decrease his demands after Bent publicly attacked him and the club on his Twitter page.[LNB]The 25-year-old striker was forced to apologise for his actions but admits he did it because he did not feel "wanted" at the Lane.[LNB]Bent said: "It was the worst two years of my career.[LNB]"Even last year, when I was the club's top scorer, I never actually felt wanted. I didn't feel [manager Harry] Redknapp wanted me there."[LNB] Redknapp infamously criticised Bent for missing a chance against Portsmouth, which the Spurs boss reckoned his wife Sandra, could have scored.[LNB]"It's massive to have the support of your manager and that's not been the case for the last two years," said Bent, who was signed by Martin Jol and also played under Juande Ramos.[LNB]"No-one goes out to deliberately miss."[LNB]He added: "My career stood still at Tottenham. There's a lot of politics going on there.?[LNB]Bent scored 25 goals in 79 appearances at Tottenham, and was Spurs leading talisman last season, finding the back of the net 17 times.[LNB]"I scored a lot of goals,? Bent said. ?But it was the hardest two years of my life and it's a weight off my shoulders that I'm finally here.[LNB]"I never felt I would stay in the team even when I was scoring goals.[LNB]"Martin Jol was probably the last manager to publicly praise me during my time at Spurs.[LNB]"After he went it was always going to be different. In my second season, it was difficult to get in the side even though I was scoring goals. I never really felt a part of it at Tottenham.[LNB]"There's no better feeling than to feel wanted by a club and it's quite strange to have that feeling again because it's been the opposite for the last two years."[LNB]Did Bent get a rough time of it at Spurs? Let us know what you think...[LNB]
