Fabiano committed to Sevilla stay
Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano insists he will be staying at the Andalusian club, despite continued talk of a possible move to Italy or England.[LNB] The Brazil forward has been linked to AC Milan and Tottenham he insists his future lies at the Sanchez Pizjuan.[LNB]"My future is with Sevilla," he told As. "I have never thought about leaving this year. I have had some offers, but I never considered leaving Sevilla. What came out in the press during the World Cup did not come out of my mouth," he added, in reference to quotes attributed to the player which claimed he wanted a move.[LNB]And the Brazil striker is adamant he will sign a new contract to remain at Sevilla.[LNB]"We have spoken, but at the moment we are thinking about the games ahead. We will talk later, I think. As I have a good relationship with the club, I'm not worried. With calm, I will renew with Sevilla," he said.[LNB]Milan have reportedly been interested in signing the striker for the last two years, but the Brazilian says he gave up waiting for the Italian side to move in.[LNB]"I have forgotten about Milan," he said. "From my point of view, they didn't come in seriously for me. They promised a lot of things, but they didn't fulfil those promises. It's a great club, but that's in the past."[LNB]Luis Fabiano's fellow Brazilian, good friend and team-mate, Adriano Correia, this month became the third Sevilla player to sign for Barcelona, following the departures of Dani Alves and Seydou Keita two years ago, but the striker insists he is not envious.[LNB]"I am happy for Adriano, he is like a brother to me. But I'm very happy with my career - and I have to be grateful to Sevilla for the best moments of my life," he said.[LNB]Like last season, the forthcoming Primera Division looks set to be a two-horse race between Barcelona and Real Madrid, but Luis Fabiano believes Sevilla can also challenge.[LNB]"We're ambitious. We have got very good players and we want to do something big - my message is that Sevilla will be an alternative to Real Madrid and Barcelona."
