Totthenham Hotspur are set to bring in Roma's Erik Lamela within the next 24 hours- according to the Daily Star.

Lamela is set to cost Spurs £30million, as Spurs look to break their record transfer fee for the third time this summer. The Argentinian was an unused substitute in Roma's league game against Livorno at the weekend, with Spurs said to be close to finalising personal terms with former RIver Plate star.

The move will pave the way for Gareth Bale to complete his record-breaking £90million transfer to Real Madrid; and after losing target Willian to Chelsea; the Roma star is set to replace Gareth Bale at White Hart Lane.

The capped Argentinian has exceptional dribbling ability and pace to bamboozle defenders; and his goalscoring prowess is impressive too, he scored 15 goals in 35 Serie A games for Roma last season.

Gareth Bales boots will be hard to fill, but Lamela, has the potential to become a world class player, lets not forget he is only 21.

If he can repeat his of last year, he will be a hit for Tottenham Hotspur; and alongside Roberto Soldado he can help carry the goal burden.
