Tottenham have appointed former Aston Villa and Middlesbrough defender Ugo Ehiogu as the club's new Under-21s coach.

Ehiogu, who has been working at the club's academy on a part-time basis, played 240 times in the Premier League for Villa and earned four caps for England.

The 41-year-old will be assisted by Matthew Wells, who is a former Spurs youth player and steps up from coaching the Under-15s, the club announced on their official website.

Earlier this week, Tottenham announced former captain Ledley King has also been handed an official role with the academy, coaching the club's Under-18s on a part-time basis.
