Giovani dos Santos will have to wait until January to end his Tottenham Hotspur hell. The £4.7million signing from Barcelona is out of favour with Harry Redknapp and is wanted by Deportivo La Coruna, but the Spanish club's sporting director has revealed a quick switch is out of the question. The Mexico international came off injured in a rare League Cup start at Preston on Wednesday night and his switch back to Spain has also hit a problem. Despite being outside of the transfer window, Depor have been given special dispensation to sign a player to replace Angel Lafita, who has joined Real Zaragoza after a contractual dispute. But Moar said: 'It is impossible to bring Giovani to Galicia. 'We like him very much but the Spanish Football Federation has clarified we cannot bring a foreign player in.They would have to be (based in Spain).' Dos Santos is yet to start a Spurs league game this season, but is determined to get his career back on track and regain the form which saw him talked about as one of the best young talents in Europe when he came through the ranks at Barcelona. Dos Santos said: 'In the past things did not go the way I would have liked but the truth is I began working harder every day until I improved and, thanks to God, things have been improving.'
