Don't sell me! Goalkeeper Gomes pleads with Spurs not to let him go back to Holland

Heurelho Gomes has urged Tottenham not to sell him but admits his future at White Hart Lane is in doubt. The Brazilian goalkeeper believes he will prove himself in the Premier League next season if given a chance but is waiting nervously to hear if Spurs want him to stay. The 28-year-old, signed by Juande Ramos from PSV Eindhoven, was a laughing stock at the start of last season as he made a string of high-profile gaffes. It seemed his Tottenham career was over when Ramos was sacked and Tottenham signed Carlo Cudicini from Chelsea to play ahead of him. But Gomes ended the season with the No.1 jersey and and is now desperate to stay put despite rumours linking him with a return to Holland.
