Dons boss doubts Bentley talk

MK Dons boss Karl Robinson has distanced the League One club with a move for Tottenham outcast David Bentley. The 28-year-old winger is on loan at Russian club FC Rostov until the New Year and has been linked with a permanent move away from White Hart Lane in the January transfer window. But Robinson does not expect to be able to lure the former Arsenal and Blackburn man to stadium:mk. He told Sky Sports: "I would love to have David Bentley at this football club because he is a player whom I admire very much. "Rob Segal is both our agents and I speak to David all the time and he knows how highly I rate him as a footballer, but it would be very difficult to see David play his football outside the Premier League. "With all due respect to our football club, I don't feel that David should be playing at this sort of level."
