Dervite delighted by France call-up

Southend defender Dorian Dervite admits he was shocked to be named in France's Under-21 squad for their forthcoming internationals.The 20-year-old, who is on-loan from Tottenham, has impressed coach Eric Mombaerts with his performances for the Shrimpers.And the former Lille trainee has thanked his temporary club and team-mates for helping him secure the call-up for clashes against Estonia and England[LNB]."I'm very proud and happy to be called up into the under-21 squad," he told Southend's official website."I've been in contact with the manager who has been down to see me play a few times for Southend but the call-up still came as a surprise for me."I'm really pleased and I owe Southend and the players a big thank you because it's them who have helped me achieve this."[LNB]
