Defoe keen to end career at Spurs

England striker Jermain Defoe, currently sidelined by an ankle injury, has declared his desire to stay at Tottenham for the rest of his career.[LNB] The 27-year-old is relishing Spurs' involvement in the Champions League for the first time, and he would love to continue playing under Harry Redknapp, who he says "has shown himself to be right up there with the best in the business".[LNB]Defoe told the Daily Mirror: "Everything about the club tells you they are going in the right direction and I want to remain a part of that.[LNB]"You'd have to crazy not to want to stay a part of that. So yes, I want to stay for the rest of my career because I believe Tottenham will go on to establish themselves in the top four under Harry."
