Hull defender Andy Dawson has backed his brother Michael's claims for a place in the England squad at this summer's World Cup. Michael Dawson, who plays at Tottenham, has impressed of late in the injury-enforced absence of Ledley King and Jonathan Woodgate at White Hart Lane. Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has tipped his player to make a late bid for an international recall in time for South Africa and his elder brother does not disagree. Andy, who at 31 is five years Michael's senior, said: "It is amazing how football can turn around. I have been watching Tottenham's performances and Mike of late and they play fantastic football. "They have had some great results and he [Redknapp] has assembled a very good squad. "Mike has obviously got his chance and taken it. He is playing some of the best football he has played for a very long time. I see Harry Redknapp `bigging' him up in the press all the time and that's only good for Mike."
