Club captain Michael Dawson has distanced himself from a move away from Tottenham and believes the team can challenge for a place in the top four under new manager Mauricio Pochettino.

It has been reported the 30-year-old defender could leave White Hart Lane this summer following yet another change in the dugout.

Dawson has been linked with moves to both Hull and Crystal Palace, but says his only focus is on helping Spurs progress next season.

Speaking while co-hosting the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast on talkSPORT, Dawson said: "I have been at Tottenham for nine-and-a-half years.

"It is a great football club and I have loved every minute of it while I have been here.

"The fans have been superb to me since day one because I have had some ups and downs, like everyone does.

"The expectations are high and the players want to achieve them.

"We want to be in the top four and hopefully next year we will have another push."
