Leyton Orient defender Charlie Daniels is hopeful that he will soon be free to regain what he feels is his natural position. The 22-year-old midfielder joined Orient from Tottenham in the January transfer window but has been employed primarily as a left-back by manager Geraint Williams. Yet despite impressing in his makeshift role, Daniels is looking forward to moving further up the field. "In my honest opinion, I am better at left midfield and that's where I want to play and that's where I enjoy playing," he told the Ilford Recorder. "The gaffer has asked me to play left-back and I don't mind filling in there until the end of the season and we'll see what happens, but I'd prefer to play left midfield. "I think I'm improving as a left-back as each game goes by though and we have had a few clean sheets."
