Crouch relishing Champions League return

Peter Crouch is considering making the Champions League anthem his new ringtone after his maiden European hat-trick propelled Tottenham into the group stage for the first time. England striker Crouch put his well-publicised off-field problems behind him to rekindle his love affair with Europe's premier club competition in Wednesday night's 4-0 play-off second-leg win against Young Boys. The 29-year-old always seemed to come alive in the Champions League when he was a Liverpool player and he now looks set to pick up where he left off at Anfield. Crouch has revealed how he was inspired by the competition's famous pre-match music - the first time he had heard it while on the field for a game for more than two years. "It's such an amazing theme tune, isn't it?" he said. "You stand there and the hairs on the back of your neck stand up and all the crowd get going. When you hear that music, you realise you're playing in the biggest competition in the world." Asked if he planned to make the anthem his mobile phone ringtone, he added: "Perhaps. It is fantastic music."
