Corluka slams wild rumours

Vedran Corluka has described the rumours which stated that Harry Redknapp could be about to leave Tottenham as 'ridiculous'. The Spurs boss saw odds on his departure tumble last week as a result of his impending questioning by the police and the Inland Revenue as they continue to investigate the Peter Crouch transfer from Portsmouth to Aston Villa in 2002. However Corluka, who scored his first Tottenham goal in the 2-2 draw at Bolton on Saturday, believes the speculation could not be further from the truth. The Croatian international cannot fathom how the rumours started with the former Portsmouth boss building an exciting team at White Hart Lane. "Harry made some big changes when he came to Tottenham," he told Sky Sports News. "We were bottom of the league when he came and now we at the top end of the Premier League so I think the rumours of him going off is ridiculous. "Why would someone go off when the club is doing do well and when he have good players at the club. "So I think he will stay and work with us and hopefully we will do some great things with him."
