Corluka eyes bid for Srna

Tottenham Hotspur defender Vedran Corluka 'would not be surprised' if manager Harry Redknapp bid for Darijo Srna. Shakhtar Donetsk wing-back Srna was linked with Spurs under Juande Ramos' stewardship but a move failed to materialise. Fresh reports, however, have suggested the North London club could move for the Croatian - and his compatriot, Corluka, feels a deal could be in the offing. "I know that Redknapp is keen on Srna and would not be surprised if Tottenham go for him," Corluka told Sportske Novosti. "I would play in the middle of defence if that were the case. "We'll see what Darijo's plans are, but it seems that there are plenty of offers, which is no surprise given his quality." Corluka also expects a number of incomings this summer, as Redknapp looks to build on last campaign. "There is plenty written and spoken (about changes at the club)," he said. "It is possible that five or six players will go, but I think that we need at least two or three new signings if we are to increase our ambitions. "Against the big teams, we were at our best; against the sides lower down the table, where physical power is the key, we were weak. "You have to have a stronger bench to compete in the league."
