[LNB] Charlie boy: Blackpool captain Adam is on the shortlist for the PFA Player of the Year gong [LNB]        HAVE YOUR SAY...     Who should be crowned PFA Footballer of the Year? As exclusively revealed by Sportsmail, Charlie Adam is among the six contenders on the shortlist for the PFA Footballer of the Year award. The Blackpool playmaker will do battle with Gareth Bale, Nemanja Vidic, Samir Nasri, Carlos Tevez and Scott Parker. But who should win? TELL US WHAT YOU THINK Tottenham's Gareth Bale, West Ham's Scott Parker, Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri, Carlos Tevez, who has been the driving force behind Manchester City's bid to qualify for the Champions League, and Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic are Adam's five rivals. [LNB]United have provided the PFA Player of the Year for the past four years - Cristiano Ronaldo (2007 and 2008) was followed by Ryan Giggs then, 12 months ago, Wayne Rooney - and Vidic will be hoping to uphold Old Trafford's recent tradition. [LNB]It is the nomination of Adam that really captures the imagination. At the start of the campaign, it would have taken a leap of faith to envisage any Blackpool player being considered consistent enough to share exalted company. [LNB]But the Scotland international's formhas demanded views be reassessed and his stylish performances have had scouts flocking to Bloomfield Road - he was the subject of bids from Liverpool, Tottenham and Aston Villa during the January transfer window.[LNB]Adam, 25, is valued in the region of ?12million by Blackpool after scoring 10 goals in 29 appearances in all competitions.  His elegant passing has won him an army of admirers.[LNB] The sameis also true of Spurs winger Bale and he has a serious chance of becoming the third man since the inception of the awards in 1974 to be named both the Player and Young Player of the Year.[LNB] Play it again, Sam: Nasri has been Arsenal's most consistent performer this season [LNB] [LNB]Only Ronaldo (2007) and Andy Gray (1977) have achieved that distinguished feat. Yet this is the first season in more than a decade when there has been no candidate who has towered over the rest. [LNB]For that reason, the ultra-consistent Parker's claims to be West Ham's first winner of the award are just as solid. [LNB]Also in the running to double up is Nasri, who has been Arsenal's most consistent performer. His team-mate Jack Wishere, Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart, United winger Nani and Seamus Coleman of Everton are the other contenders for the Young Player gong.[LNB]  Aston Villa planning ?12m summer swoop for Blackpool skipper Adam Adam, Bale, Vidic and co: Guide to the stars up for player of the year awardTop of the flops!
