Homeward bound? Shunsuke Nakamura is in talks to leave Celtic
Espanyol are losing patience in their bid to sign Celtic midfielder Shunsuke Nakamura.
The Spanish club set a deadline of last Friday to hear back from the Japan international and have not heard from him.
The 30-year-old is in advanced talks with his former club Yokohama Marinos and has a long-stated ambition to return to them.
Celtic hope he will stay on for another year but his wife is said to be keen to return to Japan this summer.
Espanyol have turned their attention to other targets, reports Catalan newspaper Sport, which are understood to include Chelsea striker Ben Sahar and Tottenham Hotspur forward Giovani dos Santos, who has struggled since signing from Barcelona last summer.
