Toulouse midfielder Etienne Capoue could be on his way to White Hart Lane in a deal worth £8.6million according to The Daily Mail. Toulouse president Olivier Sadran last night that confirmed the move: 'He will go (to Tottenham).'
Originally it was thought Capoue would move to Cardiff City after the Wales based club held talks with Capoue’s representatives in Monaco. However, it seems that Tottenham have pipped the Premier League newboys to the midfielder.
Capoue will provide direct competition for the Brazilians Sandro and Paulinho. The move could also fuel transfer rumours of a move to QPR or West Ham for Scott Parker. Jake Livermore may also be given a Premier League loan in order to achieve more playing time ahead of the World Cup in Brazil.
