Boss Braced For Bentley Bids

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp expects clubs to bid for David Bentley this summer following a frustrating first season at White Hart Lane for the winger.[LNB]Bentley arrived at Spurs looking to cement his place as David Beckham's successor for England but has fallen out of favour and is behind Aaron Lennon in the pecking order for club and country.[LNB]Redknapp is not looking to offload players but admits Bentley's situation could spark interest.[LNB]"Teams know what he can do and it is a possibility," he said.[LNB]Theo Walcott is first choice for England boss Fabio Capello, while David Beckham appears to have a secure place in the squad, with Shaun Wright-Phillips and Lennon also pushing for spots.[LNB]Bentley's problem is that he is not getting regular starts at Spurs, mainly due to Lennon's sparkling recent form - and Redknapp hopes he does not have to make changes to his side as they are in the hunt for a place in the Europa League.[LNB]Luka Modric has also impressed on the left so Bentley will probably be on the bench this weekend when he returns to Blackburn, who he left last summer.[LNB]Redknapp added: "It's hard for David. Aaron has been in great form. You hope that Aaron keeps playing well and the team keeps winning and I don't have to change it, I've got to be truthful.[LNB]"Modric has played fantastic for me on the left. I certainly wouldn't be leaving Luka out of my team, that is for sure.[LNB]"It's difficult but it is a nice problem when the team is playing so well and winning. I couldn't even contemplate changing it."[LNB]
