Boris Johnson urges Spurs to boost Tottenham after riots with new stadium

London Mayor Boris Johnson has urged Tottenham to press ahead with plans for a new stadium, saying the project would help revitalise an area ravaged by last month's riots. [LNB]Spurs were recently given local planning permission to build a new stadium on an industrial site just north of current ground White Hart Lane. However, the club also haven't given up hope of moving into the Olympic Stadium in east London after next year's games and have mounted a legal challenge against West Ham's winning bid.
