Bent eager to get down to business

England striker Darren Bent was celebrating his long-awaited move from Tottenham to Sunderland today after admitting the club had made him feel wanted again. The Black Cats have been chasing Bent for several weeks and last night completed an initial £10million switch - potentially rising to £16.5million over the course of his four-year contract at the Stadium of Light. Bent showed his frustration at the protracted nature of the deal last week with a profane rant on his Twitter page, for which he later apologised, but is now ready to start life in the on Wearside with a smile on his face. Bent told SAFC TV: "It seems like it's taken a long old time to come around, but now it's finally here I'm delighted. I'm feeling relief more than anything as it's been dragging on for two or three weeks and it was beginning to get a bit frustrating. "But I'm here now and I'm looking forward to starting the season with Sunderland. "The club made a real play to get me; they made me feel wanted and that meant a lot to me," added Bent.
