Beckham going nowhere

England midfielder David Beckham insists he is happy to continue his career at LA Galaxy, despite criticism from fans. The former Manchester United and Real Madrid ace has clashed with Galaxy followers twice over recent weeks due to his loan spell with AC Milan. Beckham spent five months at San Siro before returning to the MLS and he has also been accused of a lack of commitment by team-mate Landon Donovan. But the 34-year-old, who has been linked with Tottenham, is adamant that he wants to stay in the United States and believes he has the full support of Galaxy. He said of the criticism: "When it happens sometimes it can become a distraction for me and the team. "But the team have done well to deal with the situation and I've got the support of the players - that's the most important thing, to have the support of the team, owners and management. "I'm happy to be playing for this team and I'm enjoying it." Beckham is also confident a back injury will not prevent him from playing against Barcelona on Saturday in an exhibition match. He told Sky Sports News: "I've got a slight back pain but it's not a problem. "I've done some work in the gym and unless I get a bad reaction, I think it'll be fine. Fingers crossed it'll be good."
